Bishop Libasci Launches 'Together in Faith: Parish Support Fund'

All money raised will go to parishes in NH to fund critical needs

(MANCHESTER, NH) The Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, announced today the launch of the Together in Faith: Parish Support Fund to help Catholic parishes in New Hampshire during this time of critical need.

Parishes in the Diocese of Manchester depend on offertory donations for ongoing expenses related to ministry, maintenance, staff and other pressing needs. Without regular Masses, offertory and giving to each parish has substantially declined, creating a difficult situation for many parishes. In response, Bishop Libasci is asking the Catholic faithful of New Hampshire to contribute to the newly established Parish Support Fund.

“Throughout history, Catholics have always responded abundantly to the trials they have faced. We respond, we sacrifice and we give out of love,” Bishop Libasci said. “In this most challenging time, I ask that you prayerfully consider in what way you can offer immediate financial support to the Catholic Church here in New Hampshire.”

All funds raised will go to Catholic parishes in New Hampshire that need assistance for critical functions. These include basic services like parish employee payroll, essential parish contract services (such as cleaning or maintenance services), parish utilities (e.g., electricity, heating), etc.

Contributions are tax-deductible, and contributors will receive tax receipts automatically. No monies raised will be utilized for any diocesan operations or overhead.
